Ski Trip Information

From December to May, we have monthly weekend ski trips to Mammoth Mountain, California, for our members with disabilities. Our students usually ski all day Saturday and Sunday morning with volunteer adaptive ski instructors.  Members can use our ski equipment or bring their own. We have bi-skis, mono-skis, and 3-track for our members. We also offer snowboarding lessons and racing.

Thanks to Mammoth Mountain's generous support of our adaptive ski program, our instructors receive the benefit of skiing free all day Friday and on Sunday afternoon after lessons are completed.

Our members (instructors and students) are responsible for their own transportation and lodging. Our Winter Trips Director can assist with potential carpooling and may be able to provide limited lodging at Sunshine Village Condos in Mammoth Lakes.  Most Unrecables stay at Sunshine Village or at the Motel 6 in Mammoth Lakes.

The Winter Trips Director also handles trip forms and trip related phone calls and questions.  The Unrecables Ski Director handles waivers, emergency forms, schedules lesson assignments, oversees the ski and snowboard lessons and handles any problem on the mountain.

***  If you are interested in skiing with the Unrecables: Provide our Winter Trips Director with your Volunteer or Student Trip Form, (select  .pdf forms and waivers from the links on the left), and include the following information at least 3 weeks before each trip. ***

1. What dates will you be at Mammoth (arriving Thursday or Friday)?
2. Do you need lodging?
3. Are you driving and can you carpool with others?
4. If you are a student, what equipment do you need, (if any)?
